Summer expectation vs Reality

Hey it's Jess, so me and Olivia have been really unactive lately on our blog and youtube. We had to take our videos down for private reasons but thats all sorted now so we are in the middle of creating a schedule of when we post on youtube and our blog. We will let you know more info about that soon!

This post is summer expectation vs reality, so its the summer holidays at the moment so your probably out at the beach, parties etc... or not 

Expectation: going to the beach everyday

Reality: sitting at home binge watching netflix 

Expectation: going to fun summer parties with your friends 

Reality: Staying in bed scrolling through Tumblr/Instagram  

Expectation: Going on a super fun holiday

Reality: spending a week at your grandparents doing nothing 

Expectation: Spending every day with your BFF's 

Reality: too tired to even leave your bed

Expectation: Cooling off in the sea with your friends

Reality: Your house isn't even near the sea and you are too lazy to even meet your friends 

Expectation: "We have to meet up in summer"

Reality: Not even talking until school starts again

10 Life Hacks

Hey its me Olivia,

Want to learn some quick and easy life hacks that are easy to do, low cost and saves you time?


1. When you are at an airport tie a piece of bright coloured fabric/ ribbon on you luggage. Save you a lot of time trying to find your bag!


2. Put an old newspaper right at the bottom of your rubbish bin so it will absorb the liquids!


3. Bounce batteries to see if their good or bad. Drop them on a table from about 5/6 inches, if they bounce once and fall right over then they are fine. If they bounce anymore that means they are dead or about the die!


4. Keep a spring from your old pen and put it on the end of your Iphone charger so it won't bend or break.


5. Put pancake mix in a ketchup container for a no mess!


6. Doritos are good to start kindling a fire, if you can't find anything


7. Almost finish a pot of Nutella? End it with some ice cream! YUM


8. Cut a line on a toilet paper rolls and use it to cuff wrapping paper to stop it going everywhere!


9. Put your phone in a cup and when you wake up in the morning your phone alarm will be even louder!


10. When your friend borrows something of yours take a photo of it so you won't forget about it!

Movie/ Tv series Reviews

Im going to give some reviews on some films/Tv series that I have seen recently.

Pretty little lairs - Whenever I spell Liars, I always spell it as lairs. (Idiot) But, I think that it is a really good tv series there is so far 6 season and like 20 ish series in each season. Its about these 5 girls and one of them *died* and the other 4 gets these text and they are always signed of with -A, They get threatened with the text and gets in a lot of trouble from it to find out who it is. Rating - 9/10

Focus - This film was really good its about stealing and gambling, (Will smith) falls in love with a girl and teaches her to steal thing. Then he has to leave her and in 3 years time they meet and they are still stealing, Do they get back together ? ... Rating - 8/10

The duff - This film is good but its like the rest of high school movies. It always ends up with an unpopular boy or girl and falls in love. Rating - 7-10

White chicks - I saw this film ages ago but it is really good, Its about these two black men who are cops and they are in disguise as white girls. It is really funny and its one of mine and jess' favourites - 10/10

Wedding ringer - This movie is really good, its about this man who is getting married but doesn't have any friends, so how is he going to get a best man? Well, there this man who become people best man for people weddings. This movie is funny and a lot happens! Rating 8.5/10

10 Things to do when your bored.

Hi, its me Olivia

Today I am going to give you some suggestion on what to do when your bored.


1. Find a TV series to watch (Beware its addicted) - I did this and I started to watch Pretty Little Liars, It really good!

2. Paint by numbers - Again I have done this, Its really fun But, it can take a while to do!

3. Send your long distance friends a letter/ postcard - It doesn't have to be somebody far away, It can be to your friend which lives 5 minuets away!

4. Bake something - This is really fun to do and can be very tasty :)

5. Do a puzzle - Can be fun and boring if its a big one.

6. Do your homework  - That means it out of the way and you don't have to do it last minute !

7. Read a book-  It can be addicted and helps your English!

8. Origami - They look so cool and looks really hard to make!

9. Workout/Yoga - To keep fit and you will be really sleepy afterwards ( Well I am ! )

10. Make up a language - Your friends won't understand anything you say!

Makeup wish list

So this is more of a beauty post so if your not a beauty person you can just skip this but if you love beauty then keep reading.

My makeup wish list

These are just some of the beauty products I have seen on the market which I'm looking in purchasing so if you have tried any off these then tell me in the comments what you think of them.

1. Too faced chocolate bar palette- the colours on this are beautiful and the palette actually smells of chocolate 
2. YSL rouge volupté shine in the colour 31 rose innocent- this colour is like the perfect colour for me not to pink but not to nude that it will wash me out, these are a little pricey for a lipstick but the reviews are really good. Also the packaging is beautiful!
3. Mac lipstick in the colour flamingo- this lipstick is similar to the YSL one I just mentioned but this colour is more pink/orange than pink/nude, I have a drug store lipstick similar butI love the Mac lipsticks that I will definitely try this one out.
4. Zoeva 226 smudge brush and the 235 contour shader brush- I have seen Zoella and many other beauty bloggers talk about these brushes and I went on the website and picked 2 out which I am in need of because I haven't found any similar in a drugstore near me also these brushes aren't very expensive, some are 7.80€ which is around £5 I believe which is quite reasonable.
5. Lastly, Urban Decay Naked 1 and Naked 2 palette, I received the Naked 3 palette for my birthday last year and i absolutely love it and use it most day and the colours are just my sort off thing but in the other 2 palette I have seen the colours in pictures are similar shades so I thought it would be brill.
